What's New

What's New at David Johnstone Masonry and Design.

Mobile Wood Fired Ovens

One of our latest projects is the development of a portable wood-fired oven. It has undergone extensive use and been offloaded and uploaded at various locations on Vancouver Island.

This mobile unit ‘has retained its structural integrity' and we're making plans to mount the oven on a factory built trailer that will include a food prep area and washing station.

YAM_0.PNGJust hook up and go! Easy set up, great for any event and a perfect addition for catering companies and restaurants looking to expand their existing business.

Qualicum Beach Inn

A current focus at David Johnstone Masonry and Design has been with the renovation

of a local landmark, the Old Dutch Inn.

We are pleased to work in collaboration with Doyle Construction and C A Designs, on the exterior architectural ‘stone' elements of the building.

Blending Montana ‘sandstone' and Pennsylvania ‘bluestone' the finished product is a perfect complement to the buildings colour scheme and architectural styling reminiscent of mid century modern.

The Old Dutch Inn will re-open Spring of 2014 as the newly named Qualicum Beach Inn.
We wish them the best!
